Katie Peverada Joins BC Athletics Communications Staff

CHESTNUT HILL, MASS. – Katie Peverada has joined the Boston College Athletics Communications staff it was announced on Monday, June 11. In her role at the Heights, Peverada will serve as the primary contact for men's soccer, women's ice hockey, men's and women's tennis and head the social media plan and website design for the athletics department.

Peverada arrives at Chestnut Hill after serving for one year as the Assistant Director of Communications at the University of Maine. While with the Black Bears, Peverada was the primary contact for the men's and women's ice hockey teams, women's soccer and baseball.

Prior to Maine, Peverada was the Multimedia Coordinator for Cornell University from August 2016 to June 2017. She served as the primary contact for nine varsity sports including the nationally ranked and NCAA Tournament teams of women's ice hockey and women's lacrosse teams. While juggling her duties at Cornell, Peverada also served as a statistician for the International Ice Hockey Federation at the 2017 Women's World Championships in Plymouth, Mich.

Peverada, a native of Hampden, Maine, earned a master's degree in journalism from Boston University in 2016.
