COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Matt Naumec finished in a tie for 34th place at the 2018 NCAA Golf Championship, held at the OSU Golf Club's Scarlet Course (par 71/7,364 yards).
Naumec completed play with a 74 (+3) during Wednesday's final round of play. He posted 15 pars during the round to finish with a 54-hole total of 223 (+10). The Wilbraham, Mass. native was third among all individual qualifiers and 17th among all individuals that are not among the top five teams.
Tuesday's second round was completed early on Wednesday morning after the previous day's play was halted due to lightning. Naumec restarted on the par 4 16th hole with a birdie, followed by two pars to card a 1-over par score 72 - his best round of the tournament. He also registered a birdie on the par 4 9th hole earlier in the round.
Naumec carded an opening round 77 (+6) at the OSU Golf Club's Scarlet Course (par 71/7,364 yards). The junior posted 10 pars and birdied the par 4 16th hole during Monday's round - which was halted for a little over an hour due to lightning.
