Brendan Flynn Named Associate Director of Communications

Connecticut native joins BC Athletic Communications Office after Five-Year Stint at Oklahoma
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Brendan Flynn has joined the Boston College Athletics Communications staff on Monday, April 30. In his new role, Flynn will be the primary contact for the Eagles' baseball and rowing teams and will serve as the secondary contact for football.
He will take over the day-to-day communications duties with the baseball program on May 7.
Flynn comes to The Heights after five years at the University of Oklahoma. He was the primary media contact for baseball and volleyball and worked in a secondary role with the Sooners' football program. He assisted in the Heisman Trophy publicity campaigns for 2018 award recipient Baker Mayfield as well as 2016 finalist Dede Westbrook. Flynn coordinated the social media promotion of team uniform combinations and oversaw all media relations operations at all home baseball and volleyball events.
Before Oklahoma, Flynn spent two seasons as an athletics communications assistant at the University of Connecticut, working with the baseball, volleyball, and women's ice hockey programs while assisting with football. He began his intercollegiate athletics career as a graduate assistant at Sacred Heart in 2009.
A native of Wallingford, Conn., Flynn earned his bachelor's degree in sport management from Springfield College in 2009.
