CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College women's ice hockey team won the 40th annual Beanpot Championship in overtime on Tuesday night.

A goal from senior captain Toni Ann Miano put the Eagles ahead of the Boston University Terriers, 4-3, and helped the team secure their third consecutive Beanpot Championship.

BC Goalie Katie Burt had 35 saves and picked up the Bertagna Award as the tournament's top goalie.

In other BC sports news, men's basketball upended Pitt 81-58 on Tuesday in their first ACC road win since 2015. Junior Jerome Robinson led the team with 27 points.

A tight matchup during the men's ice hockey Beanpot proved challenging for the Eagles as they fell to Harvard 4-3 on Monday night.

BC freshman Logan Hutsko led the team's efforts with a third-period hat trick.

The men's ice hockey team is back in action Thursday, February 15th at 7:00 p.m. against UMass Amherst
