Chestnut Hill, Mass. – The Boston College men's basketball team fell to ACC opponent, Louisville, 77-69, in Kentucky on Sunday, Jan. 21.
The Eagles were trailing 67-49 with 3:57 left in the game when they went on a 15-1 run to get back in the game. Â A three pointer from junior Jordan Chatman brought BC within two with 33 seconds left. Despite the strong second-half comeback, the Eagles were unable to take the lead.
Joe Sullivan of the Boston Globe believes that if the Eagles can secure more ACC wins, especially on the road, then they will have a chance to play in the NCAA Tournament. BC has the opportunity to get such a win with a contest against Syracuse on the road tonight at 7 p.m.
In other BC sports news, the Boston College baseball team will be one of four college baseball teams competing for a cause at Fenway Park after the first homestand of the Red Sox season.
Army and Navy will play on Friday, April 20, followed by Boston College against Florida State on April 21. BC will hold its seventh ALS Awareness game on this day to honor former captain Pete Frates, who was diagnosed with ALS in 2012.
