Welcome Back, Eagles!
August 28, 2017 | Boston College Athletics
BC Athletics hosted its annual Welcome Back Picnic Monday afternoon
For some it's a time to catch up with old friends, for others a time to meet new teammates. And for one more, it's the first time to meet everyone.Â

Â
For new William V. Campbell Director of Athletics Martin Jarmond, it was his first time in front of all the Eagles since his start in June.
Â
In the corner of Alumni Stadium – just feet from the statue of one of the department's most famous alumni – Jarmond welcomed everyone back to BC, reminded the Eagles to be smart and ask for help if needed, and above all, go out, have fun and win.
Â
After Jarmond's group selfie, the Eagles were off to enjoy the build-your-own-burrito bar, catch up with teammates and friends, or compete in some stadium-sized games like Giant Jenga, Spikeball, Ladderball, Cornhole. Not to mention, there was a giant bounce house and a football tackling inflatable for a different type of workout.
Â
With four teams already into their schedules – field hockey, men's and women's soccer, volleyball – and one more getting going this week (football), the sports season is officially upon The Heights … especially now that everyone is back.
