The end-of-year awards ceremony set for Friday in Conte Forum
Boston College student-athletes, coaches and staff will gather on Friday night to informally cap the 2016-17 athletic season at The Heights as the Golden Eagle Awards return for their second year.
The Eagles will recognize the best and brightest on the field, in the classroom and in the community from the 2016-17 season.
The Golden Eagle Awards will be hosted by NESN reporter and 2014 Boston College graduate Courtney Cox, who will provide backstage access via the Eagles' social channels during the show.
Among the many awards and honors set for Friday are the top academic awards, community service recognitions and the Scholar-Athlete Awards recognizing the top student-athletes in both the field and classroom for each class.
The evening will be capped by the presentation of the Eagles of the Year, the top award a student-athlete can win at Boston College.
Other awards include the Upset of the Year, the Top 10 Plays of the Year, the Unsung Heroes, Rookies of the Year and Rising Leaders.
The event will begin at approximately 6:45 p.m. and will be streamed live from Conte Forum on bceagles.tv and on Periscope at @BCEagles. Fans can also follow along at home on Twitter (@BCEagles), Instagram (@BCAthletics) and Snapchat (BCAthletics).
