Dair, Dreswick Named Eagles of the Week

Pair honored for performances last week

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Juniors Asiya Dair (tennis) and Jessica Dreswick (softball) have been named Eagles of the Week for their performances last week.

Dair went 3-1 last week in a win over Virginia Tech and a loss to Duke. She was perfect at No. 1 singles, taking down No. 92 Francesca Fusinato of Virginia Tech and No. 65 Samantha Harris of Duke in straight sets. She also earned a doubles victory against the Hokies.

Dreswick made four appearances last week, going 2-1 and recording a save. She threw 3.0 shutout innings in a 1-0 win at Bryant to get the save. She then pitched 18.0 innings in the series win against Louisville, allowing just two earned runs for a 0.67 ERA. She threw completes games on both Saturday and Sunday in a pair of Eagles victories.

Women's tennis (9-10, 4-7 ACC) is at Georgia Tech on Friday. Softball (23-13, 8-3 ACC) has away games at UConn and North Carolina this week and hosts Boston University on Wednesday at 4 p.m.
