Chatman, Fasoula Named Eagles of the Week

Pair honored for performances last week
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Sophomores Jordan Chatman (men's basketball) and Mariella Fasoula (women's basketball) have been named Eagles of the Week for their performances last week.
Chatman had a historic night at Virginia Tech on Sunday as he tied a Boston College record with nine 3-pointers and scored a total of 30 points. He finished 9-for-11 from 3-point land and tied Dana Barros' record which he attained on January 7, 1989 at Pittsburgh. His nine 3-pointers are the third-most in ACC history and the most ever allowed by Virginia Tech. Chatman's .818 percentage from deep is the best in ACC history for a player that has hit at least nine 3-pointers (16 occurrences).

Fasoula averaged 23.5 points and 8.0 rebounds in a pair of games last week. She shot 60 percent from the field. Fasoula notched her fifth double-double of the season with 26 points and 10 boards against Wake Forest. She also had a career-high four blocks versus the Demon Deacons. She then posted 21 points and grabbed six boards at Miami.
Men's basketball (9-14, 2-8 ACC) will host #6/7 Louisville on Saturday at 3 p.m. Women's basketball (8-14, 1-8 ACC) will host Florida State on Thursday at 7 p.m. and then Syracuse on Sunday at 2 p.m.
