CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College Athletics Department has launched a new podcast called "The Perch." The new hour-long podcast will be available bi-weekly throughout the academic year when the Eagles are in competition.

The voice of the Eagles, Jon Meterparel, will host "The Perch" and will be joined by various co-hosts throughout the year. On each episode, the podcast will take you inside Boston College Athletics with interviews with BC student-athletes, coaches, administrators and media members who cover the Eagles and college athletics.

Listeners can submit questions to the podcast via e-mail to athcomm@bc.edu. Just use "The Perch" in the subject line to send in your questions for the show.

On the first episode, Boston College William V. Campbell Director of Athletics Brad Bates joined the podcast to give fans an update on BC Athletics and touched on a variety of topics, including details about the football game at Fenway Park vs. UConn and a timeline on the new facilities on the horizon for Boston College Athletics.

BC head basketball coach Jim Christian also joined the podcast for the debut episode and discussed all things BC Basketball including the recruiting backstory on freshman point guard Ky Bowman, what he does each year at the Final Four and how his playing days came to an abrupt end when his coaching career launched.
