CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College football team heads into the weekend with another challenging ACC matchup at Virginia Tech after picking up their first victory of the season last Saturday at Massachusetts.

The Eagles will take a run at Virginia Tech this weekend, in search of their first conference win in 2016. Offensively, ex-quarterback Jeff Smith is catching on at wide receiver after having a career-game last week against the Minutemen.

"His work ethic is incredible," quarterback Patrick Towles said about Smith. "He's put plenty of work in to get better, and he's asked me great questions on how he can get more open and run certain routes. He showed that on Saturday, and it is only going to get better."
