Kennedy, Saladin Named Eagles of the Week

Pair honored for performances last week
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Junior Isabelle Kennedy (women's cross country) and sophomore goalkeeper Cedric Saladin (men's soccer) have been named Eagles of the Week.
Kennedy was named ACC Performer of the Week after pacing Boston College to a first-place finish at the Minuteman Invitational with a 5k time of 17:24. Kennedy's performance sparked a BC team title at the event, beating the second-place finisher by 23 points.
Saladin posted his third shutout of the season in a 1-0 win against Duke on Saturday night. His five saves were the second-most in five matches this season. Two of his stops came in the last 11 minutes when Duke was pressing for the equalizer, as they recorded four shots and five corner kicks in the last 15 minutes. Duke came into the match averaging 2.3 goals per game and it was the first time the Blue Devils were shut out in their last 10 matches.
Cross country will host the Coast-to-Coast Battle in Beantown this Friday at Franklin Park. No. 15 men's soccer (4-1-0, 1-0-0 ACC) is on the road at No. 5 Syracuse Friday night.
