Meehan, Schulze-Geisthovel Named Eagles of the Week

Pair honored for performances last week
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Seniors McKenzie Meehan (women's soccer) and Maximilian Schulze-Geisthovel have been named the first Eagles of the Week for the 2016-17 season.
Meehan scored three goals in two games last week to lead Boston College to a pair of 3-0 victories. The Glocester, R.I., product scored a pair of goals against Stony Brook on Thursday and was then credited with the game-winner at BU on Sunday. Her 16 career game-winning goals are one shy of the program record.
Schulze-Geisthovel scored a goal in both of BC's wins over the weekend. He scored in the 39th minute against Quinnipiac in the season opener and was credited with the game-winning goal in the 2-0 win. The German native then scored BC's second goal in the 41st minute against BU to give the Eagles a 2-1 lead in an eventual 3-2 victory.
Women's soccer (3-0-1) has two home matches this weekend against Cincinnati (Friday) and Pacific (Sunday). No. 11 men's soccer (2-0-0) will host Hoftsra (Friday) and Villanova (Sunday) this weekend.
