CHESTNUT HILL, Mass.—The Boston College men's cross-country team was named a 2015 NCAA Division 1 All-Academic team. The team's cumulative grade point average (GPA) this season was a 3.32. The Eagles were one of six ACC teams to be honored. Syracuse received the highest honor, 2015 Scholar Team of the Year.
In order to be considered for this accolade, teams must shine both on the field and in the classroom. The minimum required GPA for the award is a 3.0. The Eagles had the third highest GPA of the ACC teams, trailing only Notre Dame (3.45) and Clemson (3.40).
The team takes this weekend off as they prepare for the ACC Championships, which begin next Thursday (2/25) through Saturday (2/27). The Eagles will host this year's conference championship at the Reggie Lewis Track and Athletic Center.
