Football coach prepares for old friend, men's hockey player motivated by brother's accomplishments and women's hockey player prepares to battle Canada
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Football: When Boston College meets Maryland in the Quick Lane Bowl at Ford Field on Dec. 26, head coach Steve Addazio will face head coach D.J. Durkin, a coach with whom he shares an interesting past.
Not only are the two coaches good friends, but Addazio hired Durkin in 2010 when he was the interim head coach of the Florida Gators.
Men's Hockey: Senior forward Matty Gaudreau can see his brother Johnny's name in the rafters of Conte Forum and while he appreciates his brother's accomplishments, it serves as motivation to blaze his own trail at Boston College.
Women's Hockey: Junior defenseman Megan Keller will once again add some BC – and Michigan flavor – to the U.S. National Women's Hockey Team as the team faces Canada twice this week. Keller will be one of seven players on the national team with Boston College ties.
In women's hockey alumni news, Kelli Stack '11 took the time to write for the Player's Tribune to talk about the U.S.- Canada rivalry.
