#BCEagles Newsstand: Another Win
October 03, 2016 | Football, Boston College Athletics
Football captured the win for the second week in a row, but some improvements still need to be made before Clemson
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Following the victory over Wagner last week, the Eagles faced off against the University of Buffalo in what was believed to be a must win matchup.
Throughout the game, Boston College dominated both sides of the ball, scoring 35 points on offense and only surrendering a field goal to the Bulls.
The defense has proved once again that they are one of the nation's best as they held Buffalo to under 100 total yards of offense just as they did against Wagner.
Graduate QB Patrick Towles finished the game passing for two touchdowns and redshirt freshman RB Davon Jones recorded his first career rushing touchdown. However, not everything went well for the Eagles, on a deep pass redshirt freshman WR Chris Garrison completed the 44-yard catch but landed oddly and fractured his tibia and had to be carted off the field.
Along with that, the Eagles still continue to struggle with penalties. For the third game in a row, Boston College had a long punt return by senior RB Tyler Rouse called back.
