Burt, Fitzgerald Named Eagles of the Week

Pair honored for performances last week
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Junior goaltender Katie Burt (women's hockey) and sophomore defenseman Casey Fitzgerald (men's hockey) have been named Eagles of the Week.
Burt was named Warrior Hockey East Player of the Week after a pair of standout performances in the Eagles' series win against No. 3 Quinnipiac last weekend. She allowed just one goal in two games, and posted her first shutout of the season while leading the Eagles to a 1-0-1 mark against the third-ranked Bobcats. She combined for 40 saves in the two games, including 23 on Friday.

Fitzgerald scored three goals in wins against Colorado College and Holy Cross, including one on the power play. He recorded his first-career multi-goal game at Holy Cross on Saturday night. He was credited with both game-winning goals in the two victories. It marks the first time that Fitzgerald has scored a goal in consecutive games.
No. 4 women's hockey (4-2-2, 3-1-0 HE) faces Connecticut for a pair of games this weekend in Storrs on Friday and at home on Saturday. No. 8 men's hockey (4-2-0) opens Hockey East play Tuesday night at Merrimack before hosting Providence on Friday Night. The Eagles are also at UMass on Saturday night.
