Men's Swimming place 11th at ACC's

The Men's swim team concluded their season on Feb. 28th 2015 at the ACC Championships hosted by Georgia Tech in Atlanta. BC was represented byTim Benage, Conor Chamness, Daniel Creighton, Drew Cuttic, Nick Henze, David Howard, David Hunter, R. Emmett Johnson, Dan Kelly, Kevin McCoy, John Mooers, Anthony Richardson, Andrew Stranick, Josh Williams, Matthew Zerweck, and Nicolas Junghahn. The Eagles displayed strong competition throughout the weekend long meet, and broke several BC records.
In the 800 yd. Freestyle relay, Nick Henze '15, Matthew Zerweck '16, John Mooers '18 and Anthony Richardson '17 came in 11th place and set a new BC record time of 6:40.70. Henze also set the 200 yd. Freestyle record at 1:36.96 with his lead off swim in the 800 yd. Freestyle relay.
The 200 yd. Freestyle team of Dan Kelly '16, Nick Henze, John Mooers and Conor Chamness '17 came in 11th place overall and set a new BC record of 1:20.96.
Senior Andrew Stranick broke and re-set his own BC record in the 200 yd. Breaststroke, clocking in at 1:59.88 and taking 22nd place in the finals.
In the last event of the meet, the Eagles competed in the 400 yd. Freestyle relay where Henze, Mooers, Richadrson and Kelly took 11th place at 2:59.79.
At the end of the meet, Boston College finished in 11th place overall with 179 points, defeating University of Miami. The Most Valuable Swimmer award was given to Simonas Bilis of NC State.
