Burt, Naumec Named Eagles of the Week

Pair honored for performances last week
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Sophomore goalkeeper Katie Burt (women's hockey) and freshman Matthew Naumec (men's golf) have been named Eagles of the Week.
Burt posted back-to-back shutouts to help the No. 2 women's hockey team open Hockey East play this weekend. She made 16 saves on Saturday in a 4-0 win over Maine, before stopping 26 shots on Sunday in a 6-0 win over New Hampshire. The shutouts were the first two of the season and the 11th and 12th of her career. She has yet to allow a goal against UNH in four games.
Naumec fired a final round 65 (-7) to lead the men's golf team to a third place finish out of 16 teams at The Connecticut Cup last weekend. Naumec's 65 was the lowest round of the tournament by a stroke. He led all players in the third round by going -3 on par 4s and -4 on par 5s. He was one of five players with an eagle in the final round and was second in the field with seven birdies.
Women's hockey (6-0-0, 2-0-0 WHEA) travels to Cornell for a pair of games on Friday and Saturday. Men's golf is wrapping up the Maryland Terrapin Invitational on Tuesday in its final fall tournament of the season.
