Eagles Defeat Red Foxes

On January 17th Boston College hosted Marist College in a non-conference dual meet. Both the BC men’s and women’s teams were victorious with spectacular final scores of 187-113 for the men and 163-136 for the women.
Junior Dan Kelly took first place in both the 50 yd. freestyle with 20.76 and the 100 yd. Freestyle with 46.51. Senior Nick Henze followed him with a close second place finish at 46.67. Henze also had a top performance in the 200 yd. Freestyle, taking first place at 1:42.14. Junior David Howard finished the 200 yd. Butterfly with a personal best time of 1:56.75 which earned him first place, and Junior Drew Cuttic also had a personal best in the 1000 yd. Freestyle, finishing in 4th place with 10:14.55.
For the women, top performances were seen by Junior Jordan Parry in the 100 yd. Butterfly, who went 58.56 and took first place. Senior Gillian Walsh also had a spectacular swim in the 100 yd. Butterfly where she reached her personal best time of 1:03.70. Junior Maureen Barron had a top swim in the 50 yd. Freestyle where she took first with 24.42. Junior Elizabeth Mangone reached her personal best time in the 200 yd. Freestyle with a time of 2:20.92.
Overall it was a strong weekend for the Eagles. Next they face a tri-meet against Connecticut and Keene State.
