Flynn Fund Thank-A-Thon A Success

Chestnut Hill, Mass. - Ninety-nine BC student-athletes participated in the fall "Thank-a-thon" November 16-18 to express their appreciation to Flynn Fund Donors. Student-athletes are direct beneficiaries of Flynn Fund gifts, as donations support scholarships, training and competition needs.
In the three-night event, the Eagles gathered in the Conte Forum Media Suite to place calls and write thank you notes to donors. The group was able to reach over 950 total households through their efforts.
The student-athletes were able to have 194 conversations with donors, giving both parties a unique experience, as the donors get to hear personally from one of their beneficiaries and the student-athletes are able to connect with the people who provide so much for them.
Aside from phone conversations, student-athletes left 392 voice mails for BC athletic supporters. Furthermore, if a donor couldn't be reached by phone, a hand written note was mailed in order to thank the benefactor.
BC will hold additional thank-a-thon events in January and April in order to reach as many supporters as possible.
