Conway Promoted to Associate Athletics Director

Boston College Director of Athletics Brad Bates has promoted Matt Conway to the position of Associate Athletics Director for Facilities and Operations. Conway had served as Assistant Athletics Director for operations since 2007.
"Matt is a bright, hard-working professional who has earned the respect of coaches and administrators from our staff as well as on a conference and national level," Bates said. "Matt has a bright future in athletics administration and we are fortunate to have him on our team."
Conway joined Boston College in September of 2004 and served as manager of intramurals, club sports and instructional programs and later as assistant director of campus recreation/intramurals, club sports & facilities in the Flynn Recreation Complex. Before joining BC, he served as manager of facilities and operations at Seton Hall University (2001-04) and in various capacities for The Hoop Group (1995-2001).
"I am very excited about expanding my opportunity to be a catalyst for the success of our student-athletes," Conway said. "I look forward to working with our coaches and administrators in their pursuit of championships and student development."
A 1998 graduate of Wilkes University, Conway received the 2008 Skip Prosser Service Award, presented by the ACC men's basketball officials for outstanding service. He also received the 2014 Facility of Merit Award for the Alumni Stadium safety and security policies and procedures. He served as assistant tournament manager for the NCAA Men's Basketball Championship East Regional (2009, 2012) as well as tournament manager for multiple ACC and NCAA championship events.
A native of Wilkes-Barre, Pa., Conway and his wife, Meghan, are the parents of three sons, Owen (11), Liam (8) and Ryan (4) and reside in Sharon.
