Eagles Win Third Meet in a Row

Bridgewater State University hosted Boston College this weekend where the Eagles took their third consecutive victory of the season.
In the 200 yd. Medley Relay the ‘C’ team of Shawn McNiff, Aram Barmakian, Estephen Saliba and Brendan Sweeney came out in first place with a terrific time of 1:42.18. Freshman Nicolas Junghan had an excellent performance throughout the meet taking first place in the 50 yd. Freestyle with 22.79 and first place in the 100 yd. Breaststroke with 1:03.36. Freshman Kyle Zarriello was also a strong competitor, taking first place in the 1000 yd. Freestyle with 10:51.74 and first in the 100 yd. Backstroke with 58.03.
In the end Boston College men’s swimming and diving teams beat Bridgewater State 156 to 108. Outstanding performance recognition was awarded to Junghahn, Estephen Saliba ’16, Kieran Fitzpatrick ’17, and diver Grant Dalton ’18.
This upcoming weekend the Eagles will compete in the Thomas Murphy Invitational meet in Baltimore, Maryland.
