Eagles Are Victorious at 2014 New England Catholic Invitaitonal

RESULTS
The Boston College men's and women's swim teams both dominated at the 2014 New England Catholic Invitational meet on October 10-11. The women took first place with 878 points followed by Saint Francis University with 396 points. The men took first place with 1,011 points followed in second place by Iona College with 483 points.
the women started strong in the first event taking second place in the 200 yd. freestyle relay with `A' team of Grace Kunkel, Annie Fothergill, Kelly Ward and Kimberly Rich taking second place with a time of 1:41.18. The girls were hugely successful especially in the 100 yd. Butterfly finishing with Jordan Parry in first (58.50), Danielle Homere in third (1:00.51) and followed closely behind by Emily Mann in fourth (1:00.53) and Annie Fothergill in fifth (1:00.76). Jordan Parry and Emily Smith included in the meet's top swims; Parry for her 100 yd. Butterfly (58.50) and Smith for her 200 yd. Butterfly (2:10.38).
The men's team just as spectacularly as the women, starting off with a victory of their own in the men's 200 yd. Freestyle relay with `A' team of Dan Kelly, Nicolas Henze, John Mooers and Luke Keffer. The boys swept in the 100 yd. Breaststroke with Andrew Stranick in first (59.77) followed closely by John Mooers (59.97), and then McKenzie Cole in third (1:00.25), Alex Rudolph in fifth (1:01.40), Nicolas Junghahn in sixth (1:02.73) and Patrick Sheerin in seventh (1:02.76). Dan Kelly and Nicolas Henze were both included in the meets top swims; Kelly for his 50 yd. Freestyle at 21.05 and Henze for his 200 yd. Freestyle at 1:43.88.
With a victory for both teams the Eagles have kicked off their 2014-2015 season an an incredible note.
