M. Cross Country Announces 2011 Schedule

Chestnut Hill, Mass. – The Boston College men’s cross country team released its 2011 schedule on Friday as announced by Head Coach Matt Kerr.
The Eagles will open the year with the Dartmouth Invitational on Saturday, September 10 at 10:30 a.m.
BC makes a visit to the famed back hills and flats of Van Cortland Park for the Iona – Br. Doyle Meet of Champions on Saturday, September 17 at 10:15 a.m.
The Eagles will run two meets on their home course, Franklin Park, this year. Several nationally and regionally ranked opponents converge on the park for the New England Championship, which will be contested on Saturday, October 8 at 12:30 p.m. BC then breaks for one week, before returning to the crown jewel of the Emerald Necklace for the 16th Annual Mayor’s Cup on Sunday, October 23 at noon.
A year removed from hosting the Atlantic Coast Conference Championship, the Eagles travel to Clemson for the conference meet on Saturday, October 29.
The 2011 NCAA Northeast Regional takes place at Audubon Golf Course in Buffalo, N.Y. On Saturday, November 12 at 11:45 a.m., approximately 35 teams will compete for an automatic berth to the NCAA Championship. Teams receiving the bid to Terre Haute, Ind. will vie for a national title on the historic LaVern Gibson Cross Country Course on Monday, November 21 at 12:55 p.m.
A select group of Eagles wrap up the 2011 campaign with a return trip to Van Cortland Park to represent BC in the IC4A Championship on Saturday, November 19 at 11:00 a.m.
