Men and Women's Swimming Lose To BU

BOSTON, Mass. - The Boston College men and women's swimming and diving teams both lost to Boston University last week. The women were defeated 227-73 on Tuesday, February 1 while the men were defeated 171-125 on Wednesday, February 2.
On the women's side, Devon Kelly was awarded Outstanding Performer for her second place finish in the 3 Meter Diving event (227.62). Mary Fothergill was awarded Outstanding Performance for her third place finish in the 200 Yard Butterfly with a time of 2:12.69.
On the men's side, John Maloy was named Outstanding Performer. Maloy set a BC pool record with his 1:53.50 first place finish in the 200 Yard Individual Medley. He also finished first in the 200 Yard Freestyle (1:42.37) and the 500 Yard Freestyle (4:39.70). Maloy also participated in the men's A relay team that took second in the 400 Yard Freestyle Relay (3:12.67).
Nick Dagenais took home Outstanding Performance for his time of 52.99 in the 100 Yard Butterfly.
