Four Eagles Recieve ITA Northeast Preseason Rankings

Skillman, N.J. - Four Boston College student-athletes were listed in the Northeast Region Preseason Rankings released by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) on Tuesday, Jan. 4.

Leading the way for the Eagles is junior transfer Erina Kikuchi at No. 3. Freshman Veronica Corning at No. 8, sophomore Alex Kelleher (13th) and senior Katharine Attwell (16th) are also featured in the rankings, giving BC more representation than any other school.

This is the first time four members of the squad have been ranked in the Top-16 of the region during head coach Nigel Bentley's tenure.

Boston College will open the 2011 season when it travels to play Yale on Saturday, Jan. 22 at noon.
