Men and Women's Swimming Defeated By Massachusetts

AMHERST, Mass. - The Boston College men and women's swimming and diving teams both fell to Massachusetts on Friday, January 21. The men were defeated by a margin of 245-48, while the women lost 216-78.
On the men's side, Stefan Tziolis was named BC's Outstanding Performer for his two second place finishes, in the 200 Yard Butterfly (2:01.53) and the 100 Yard Butterfly (54.54). Brett Beaulieu-Jones was awarded Outstanding Performance in the 100 Butterfly as well (55.03).
For the women, Oustanding Performer went to Kathryn Raplee who placed second in the 200 Yard Freestyle (1:58.87), fifth in the 100 Yard Freestyle (55.43), and third in the 500 Yard Freestyle (5:11.82). Alyssa Niebrugge received the Outstanding Performance honor for the only first place finish for the Eagles, with a time of 2:13.57 in the 200 Yard Backstroke.
