Over 130 student-athletes from 19 teams gathered on Sunday, November 7 from 5-7 p.m. in the Conte Forum Media Suite to make phone calls to Flynn Fund donors to thank them for their generous donations to Boston College Athletics. The number of participants and teams represented marks a record high in the history of the event.
In coordination with the Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC) and the Flynn Fund, student-athletes reached out to donors to express appreciation for all of their support. Additionally, student-athletes wrote personalized notes to Flynn Fund donors thanking them for all they have done and continue to do for Boston College Athletics. BC student-athletes contacted over 1,246 Flynn Fund donors throughout the course of the evening.
The Flynn Fund supports scholarships and operating costs for Boston College's 31 varsity sports and more than 750 student-athletes. Last year, alumni, parents and friends contributed more than $27 million to BC Athletics (this total includes an extraordinary payment toward a capital project).
