They scored twice more and despite a goal from Mary Restuccia late in the third, BC was unable to make a comeback.
Connecticut currently leads the all-time series 13-9-4.
Last Weekend
Boston College enters tomorrow's conference contest coming off a 5-2 home opener win against Brown last Sunday, October 24. Freshman Taylor Wasylk scored twice while Blake Bolden, Andrea Green, and Ashley Motherwell each scored their first goals of the season in the win.
BC skated to a 3-3 tie the previous night at Quinnipiac. The Eagles struck first as Kelli Stack put BC on the board in the first minute of play. Danielle Welch followed suit at 11:59. The Bobcats began creeping back in with a goal in the first. Wasylk put BC up 3-1 in the second but ultimately Quinnipiac responded with two more to tie the game.
Wasylk Making Waves
For the third week in a row, freshman forward Taylor Wasylk was recognized as the Hockey East Pro Ambitions Rookie of the Week after finishing the weekend with four points (three goals and one assist) in two games.
Wasylk's honor marks the first time in program history that a player has won a league award for three consecutive weeks.
On Friday, October 22 Wasylk assisted on Kelli Stack's first goal of the game at Quinnipiac, then pushed BC's lead to 3-1 with an early second period goal. In Sunday's 5-2 home opener against Brown, Wasylk scored twice. Her first goal came at the 25 second mark in the first period, just after a faceoff won by Kelli Stack. She scored again in the third to increase the Eagles' lead to 4-1.
Wasylk (6-6-12) now leads the team's offense and is second in goals and tied for first in assists.
