Ritchie Reaches Regional Mark at Raleigh Relays

RALEIGH, N.C. - The Boston College men's track and field team competed in the Reebok Raleigh Relays this weekend hosted by NC State. Senior Timothy Ritchie ran an NCAA Regional qualifying mark of 14:09.63 in the 5000m.
Ritchie finished third overall in the event but was the top collegiate performer. It is also the fourth fastest time in BC history in the 5000m.
Sophomore Ian Thomas took 15th in the 800m run with a time of 1:53.31 which was just over two seconds off the leader. Senior James LaGreca finished 14th in the 1500m, crossing the line in 3:55.08.
Senior David Emerson finished 14th in the 10,000m with a time of 31:19.93.
The men will compete in the Florida Relays in Gainesville next weekend.
