The Boston College women's swimming and diving team is set to begin competition in the 2009 ACC Championships today at the Eppley Recreation Center Natatorium in College Park, Maryland.
The meet will run from February 18-21, and can be viewed, beginning on Thursday, at 5:15 pm, on ACC Select.
The Eagles (8-7-1), led by senior captains Caroline Byron and Kelly Leahey, will look to improve upon an 11th place finish at last year's ACC Championships.
"They're excited to swim," said BC head coach Tom Groden of his team. "We're hoping for a very good result. We're looking at taking a shot at the school record in the relays and in some individual events as well. With two of our all-time great swimmers, senior captains Caroline Byron and Kelly Leahey wrapping up their careers, it should be a very exciting weekend for them also."
Live stats for the meet will be available at http://www.theacc.com/livestats/c-swim/.
