Boston College student-athletes showed up in record numbers to thank Flynn Fund donors during the Spring Thank-A-Thon, Sunday night from 5-8:30pm in Conte Forum.
Fifty-seven student-athletes, in coordination with the Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC) and the Flynn Fund, made calls to donors thanking them for their support. Representatives from ten teams reached out to over 1,000 donors who had made gifts to the Flynn Fund since the last Thank-A-Thon in November 2007. This number surpassed the 700 donors reached during the Fall Thank-A-Thon in November.
The Flynn Fund supports scholarships and operating costs for Boston College's 31 varsity sports. Last year, over 4,600 alumni, parents and friends contributed more than $19 million to BC Athletics. To learn more about the Flynn Fund, please call 617-552-0772 or log onto www.bceagles.com.
