Men's Swimming Finishes 10th at ACC Championships

ATLANTA, Ga. - The Boston College men's swimming and diving team finished 10th out of 11 teams at the ACC Championships at the Georgia Tech Aquatic Center.
John Maloy led the way for the Eagles by placing in the top 25 in two separate events. The freshman placed 20th in the 400 IM in a time of 4:02.63. He finished 22nd in the 1,650 freestyle in 16:19.04.
Senior Joseph Maloy, older brother to John, finished 23rd in the 1,650 freestyle, in a time of 17:09.43.
Michael Hughes placed in the top 30 in two events for the Eagles. In his first ACC Championships, the freshman placed 24th in the 200 backstroke in 1:58.21 and 27th in the 400 IM in 4:13.12.
Other top 30 finishers included senior Colin Scott and freshman Brett Bromann. Scott finished the 400 IM in 28th place in a time of 4:14.93, while Bromann placed 23rd in the 200 backstroke in 1:54.80.
