DiLoreto, Pagliarulo Receive Promotions

Boston College Director of Athletics Gene DeFilippo announced today that Jamie DiLoreto has been promoted to Associate Athletics Director, External Operations and John Pagliarulo has been promoted to Associate Athletics Director, Recreation.
"I am very pleased to announce these well-deserved promotions," DeFilippo says. "Jamie and John have been dedicated and loyal employees. We are very fortunate to have them on our team."
DiLoreto, who is entering his 15th year at Boston College, has served as Assistant A.D., External Operations since 2002. His duties have included fostering and maintaining contracts for Internet, regional radio and television broadcasts; cultivating and executing radio, apparel sponsorship contracts; coordinating advertising campaigns, individual and group ticket sales; organizing marketing and promotional efforts for BC's 31 sports programs, and coordinating game atmosphere efforts. He is the primary contact in managing the department's partnership with Fenway Sports Group and International Sports Properties. DiLoreto is a 1993 graduate of the University of Massachusetts, where he earned his Bachelor's degree in Sport Management. He also holds a Master's degree in administration from BC's College of Advancing Studies.
Pagliarulo, who will mark his 20-year anniversary at BC in September, began as a student employee and since his graduation from the BC Carroll School of Management in 1991, has held a number of professional positions. For the past five years, as an Assistant Athletics Director, he has been responsible for the leadership and direction of the Flynn Recreation Complex. During his tenure, annual visits have risen steadily, reaching nearly half a million per year (15% growth since 2001-02) and the Recreation Complex now offers 123 programs. He has also been instrumental in overseeing several Recreation Complex renovations and is heavily involved with the campus community, serving on several campus committees. He earned an MBA from BC's Carroll Graduate School of Management.
