Men's Swimming Splits Weekend

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - The Boston College men's swimming and diving team split a pair of decisions this weekend, falling to No. 24 Florida State on Friday, 180-104, and defeating Providence, 180-97, on Sunday.
The Eagles are now 4-3 overall, 0-1 in the Atlantic Coast Conference.
On Friday, BC placed four second place finishers in four separate events: John Maloy (1,000 free), Ben Mindes (200 fly), Brett Bromann (200 back) and Andrew Brown (100 back).
BC rebounded against the Friars, winning nine events by nine separate swimmers on Sunday.
In the freestyle events, Joseph Maloy (200), Brett Bromann (500) and Dominick Boccio (1,000) all earned first place finishes.
Other winners in Sunday's meet included: John Maloy (200 fly), Daniel Donnrumma (200 breast), Sean Robbins (200 back), Tommy Chandler (200 medley), David Ely (100 back) and Andrew Rigoglioso (100 breast).
The next meet for BC is the Terrier Invitational held on Nov. 16-18 in Boston, Mass.
