Thirty-five Boston College student-athletes gathered in the Alumni Stadium press box on Sunday, November 18 to make phone calls to Flynn Fund donors thanking them for their generous support of BC Athletics.
Student-athletes from various teams participated by making calls to simply say "thank you" to donors. The student-athletes attempted to call donors who had made a gift to BC Athletics since the last Thank-A-Thon (April 2007), reaching nearly 700 people in the process. The BC Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) teamed with the Flynn Fund to organize the event.
The Flynn Fund supports scholarships and operating costs for Boston College's 31 varsity sports. Last year, over 4,600 alumni, parents and friends contributed more than $19 million to BC Athletics. To learn more about the Flynn Fund, please call 617-552-0772 or log onto www.bceagles.com.
