Men's Swimming Falls To Tufts

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - In their first home meet in over two months, the men's swimming and diving team hosted the Jumbos of Tufts University, but fell by a score of 205-143 last night at the Flynn Recreation Complex. The loss drops the Eagles to 5-2 while the Jumbos improve to 7-1.
Senior Chris Wilson-Byrne swept the diving events for the Eagles as he scored a 271.13 in the 1-meter and a 251.33 in the 3-meter.
Senior Thomas Nececkas and sophomore Tommy Chandler each earned two top three finishes for BC as Nececkas placed second in the 100 yard backstroke and third in the 200 back, while Chandler finished third in the 200 yard fly and second in the 50 yard back.
Senior Matt Northrup also swam well for the Eagles earning two top-three finishes. Junior Joseph Maloy and senior Andy Faughnan each earned wins for BC and senior Thomas Martz picked up two wins in the 50 and 100 yard fly respectively.
The Eagles next race on Friday, January 19 at Williams College at 6:00 p.m.
