Women's Swimming Wins Season Opener

Atlanta, Ga. - Women's swimming began their season with an exciting win, defeating defending division three national champions Emory University on the last relay to win the meet 151-149.
Sophomore Caroline Byron had a strong performance for the Eagles as she placed first in the 200 yard, 50 yard and 100 yard freestyle respectively. Byron also contributed to the Eagles second-place finish as she anchored the 200 yard medley relay.
Freshman Ashley Leprine also swam well for BC finishing first in both the 100 and 200 yard breaststroke earning 18 points for the Eagles.
Sophomore Kelly Leahey would earn three top-three finishes of her own as she placed second in both the 100 and 200 yard freestyles behind teammate Caroline Byron, and anchored the 200 yard freestyle relay to a first place finish along with teammates Megan Hurd, Tanya Suryoutomo and Elizabeth Snyder.
Junior Maeve Brennan would capture first-place in both the one meter and three meter diving, while teammate Bradie Dwyer would finish third and second respectively earning the Eagles 25 points combined.
