Women's Swimming Drops ACC Meet

Atlanta, Ga. - Less than 24 hours after a thrilling win over Emory University, women's swimming dropped their first dual meet of the season to Clemson, 206-76, and Georgia Tech, 157-115. Clemson would win the meet defeating Georgia Tech 171.5-94.5.
Highlighting the Eagles' dual meet was the 400 Yard Freestyle Relay first-place finish swam by sophomores Caroline Byron and Kelly Leahey, junior Elizabeth Snyder and senior Megan Hurd. Byron would also finish second in the 100 yard freestyle.
Freshman Ashley Leprine finished sixth and seventh respectively in the 100 and 200 yard breaststoke. Sophomore Kelly Leahey placed seventh in the very competitive 200 yard freestyle. Leahey would also finish in the top-10 in the 100.
Junior Maeve Brennan placed fifth, one place ahead of teammate Bradie Dwyer in the one meter diving. Brennan would place sixth and Dwyer eighth in the three meter.
Both the men's and women's team will be in action on Wednesday, October 18 at 6:00 p.m. when they compete against Brandeis University in Waltham, Mass.
