Chestnut Hill, Mass. - The Boston College men's basketball team met some of their biggest fans Tuesday at Franciscan Children's Hospital in Allston, including one youngster who dunked for the first time with some help from Eagles big man Sean Williams.
The Eagles hoopsters visited various wings of the hospital and were also given the chance to play on the hospital's outdoor courts. The 6-10 Williams hoisted one of the children up towards the hoop as he made his first slam dunk, briefly hanging on the rim for good measure.
Inside, the rest of the Eagles interacted with the children and gave autographs on posters and even a jersey. Louis Hinnant and Sean Marshall explored the fish tank with one of the children as well.
Boston College student-athletes are provided an opportunity to visit Franciscan Hospital each month through the Student Athletic Advisory Committee.
