Alison Wallace, an eight-year veteran of the Boston College Athletic Department, has been promoted to Associate Athletic Director/Compliance, according to Director of Athletics Gene DeFilippo. Wallace's promotion follows the departure of Lynn Holleran, who previously oversaw BC's Compliance Department.
"Alison is the perfect choice to administer this department," DeFilippo says. "This is a very important job, as it is imperative for our Athletic Department to operate in compliance with all conference and NCAA rules and regulations at all times. I am completely confident that Alison will help us continue our strong record of compliance."
Wallace came to BC in 1995 as a Compliance Assistant and was then promoted to Director of Compliance in March 1998 and Assistant Athletic Director/Eligibility and Student Compliance in 2000. A 1993 cum laude graduate of BC, Wallace was a four-year starter for the field hockey team and earned first-team Northeast Regional All-America honors as a senior captain. She earned her master's degree from BC in higher education administration in December 1997.
"I am very pleased to have the opportunity to administer our Compliance Department," Wallace says. "I work with an excellent staff and with administrators and coaches who are committed to running a totally compliant Athletic Department."
