Eagles Finish Day Two at Princeton

Princeton, N.J. - The Boston College men's and women's swim teams completed the second of three days of competition at the Princeton Invitational.
Junior Tim Tully swam to the squads' best place overall (third) in the finals heat of the 400-yard individual medley (4:04.02). Senior Andrew Naumann, who competed in the second final of that event, earned 12th overall and fourth in his heat (4:10.26). With her time of 4:40.56, Caitlin Healey took 15th overall, after placing seventh in the second 400-yard IM final, followed by Leigh Going, who finished 21st overall and fifth in the consolation finals (4:40.40).
Two Eagles competed against each other in the finals of the 100-yard butterfly. Torey Thelin and Liz Byron finished sixth and seventh, respectively, with times of 57.36 and 57.47. In the third consolation final of that same event, freshman Juliet Paradine finished fourth in her heat and 20th overall with a 59.00 clip. Jonathan Salibra raced to 53.64 in the men's 100-yard fly, finishing sixth in the consolation finals and 22nd overall.
The women's 200-yard medley relay contingent of Juliet Paradine, Carolyn Bowman, Torey Thelin and Liz Byron wound up 10th overall, finishing at 1:48.64. Freshman Brian Tichenor kicked off with the backstroke leg of the Eagles medley relay unit comprised of Brandon Twichell, Jonathan Salibra and Matthew Northrup for 14th overall (1:38.40).
