Koo Named Assistant A.D./Compliance & Eligibility

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Steven Koo, athletics compliance administrator at Boston College since 2002, has been named Assistant Athletic Director/Compliance & Eligibility, Director of Athletics Gene DeFilippo has announced. In his position, Koo will oversee eligibility and certification processes for all BC student-athletes.
"We are very pleased to make this announcement," DeFilippo says. "Steven Koo is an extremely talented individual with a bright future in intercollegiate athletics."
Koo came to BC as a compliance intern in August of 2001. Koo earned a bachelor's degree in 1995 from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Business, and a law degree from Brooklyn Law School in 1998 and practiced law for two firms in the New York area before coming to BC. He is a native of Somers, N.Y.
"I am excited about this opportunity," Koo says. "I consider myself very fortunate to work with the administrators, coaches, and especially the student-athletes at Boston College."
