Here are short biographies of the nine new Hall of Famers:
Frankie Wilson '23: Wilson was a three-sport star for the Eagles in the early '20s. He lettered in both baseball and football for four years and in track for three years. In baseball, Wilson started in the outfield all four years. In 1923, he established a collegiate record for hitting by batting safely in 27 straight games, leading the Eagles to a 30-3 record. He finished the season with a .450 batting average. A speedster, Wilson was also a star runner in track and a two-year starting halfback for the football team. He was a member of the 1920 team that won the Eastern football title.
Ed Kenty '73: Kenty enjoyed a stellar hockey career at the Heights. He played three years of varsity hockey (freshmen were not eligible), registering 79 goals and 71 assists for 150 points in 81 games. His 79 goals ranks seventh on the Eagles' all-time list, while his point total still ranks 24th. He tallied six career hat tricks, including a four-goal effort in a 7-5 win over Boston University on Feb. 23, 1972.
Tim Sherwin '81: Sherwin was a four-year letterman at the Heights from 1977-80. A premier tight end, he finished his career with 78 receptions, a total that ranks 20th on BC's career receptions list. After making seven catches in his first season, he made 20 or more catches in each of his final three seasons, including a team-best 29 receptions in 1980. As a senior, Sherwin earned All-East accolades, while also sharing the team's Thomas F. Scanlan Memorial Trophy (outstanding scholarship, leadership and athletic ability). A fourth-round selection in the NFL draft, he played seven years with the Baltimore Colts and two years with the New York Giants.
Mark MacDonald '84: MacDonald was a three-year starter on the offensive line on the Eagles' bowl teams in 1982, 1983 and 1984. He served as co-captain of the 1984 team that won the Cotton Bowl and finished the season as the fourth-ranked team in the nation. He captured All-ECAC honors in 1983 and 1984, and played in the 1985 Senior Bowl. The West Roxbury, Mass. and Catholic Memorial product enjoyed a four-year NFL career with the Minnesota Vikings.
Roger McCready '86: McCready was a four-year letterman and three-year starter for the basketball team during the time in which it earned two NCAA Tournament berths and one NIT bid. He still ranks 13th on the school's career scoring list. McCready tallied 1365 points in 118 collegiate games. He capped his career by leading the Eagles in scoring and rebounding in 1985-86. The 6-foot-5-inch forward averaged 18.1 points and 5.5 rebounds per game in his senior campaign.
Shawn Halloran '86: Halloran served two years as the back-up quarterback to Doug Flutie, before earning the starting job in 1985. In two years as the Eagles' starting quarterback, Halloran etched his name into the school's record books. He still ranks second in career completion percentage (57.5), third in career passing yards (5252) and fourth in career touchdown passes (30). In 1986, he led the Eagles to eight consecutive wins, including a Hall of Fame Bowl victory over Georgia. He also captured the O'Melia Award as the outstanding player in the BC-Holy Cross game that same year.
Ken Moody '89: Moody is the Boston College record holder in both the indoor high jump (7' 2.25") and outdoor high jump (7' 1.75"). Moody won 11 individual championships in three different events -- high jump, long jump and triple jump -- during his collegiate career. He won two ICAAAA titles, four BIG EAST titles and five New England championships. In addition to his two school records, he also ranks among the school's top five performers in the outdoor triple jump (48' 4.75"), indoor long jump (24' 3.75") and indoor triple jump (48' 1.50").
Kerry Curran Deshazo '94: Curran, who is now married and living in South Carolina, enjoyed an outstanding career at the Heights from 1990-94. A point guard and outstanding floor leader, Curran captured BIG EAST All-Rookie Team honors as a freshman, All-BIG EAST third team accolades as a sophomore and All-BIG EAST first team honors as a senior. In her final season, she averaged 22.2 points per game. She remains second on BC's career assist list with 528, and third on the school's career scoring list with 1691 points.

The following year, she captured All-BIG EAST second team honors, leading the league in save percentage (.890) and wins (12). She concluded her career in 1996, gaining Northeast Region All-America second team honors and repeating as an All-BIG EAST second team choice. She is now married to former BC and current Seattle Seahawks quarterback Matt Hasselbeck.
