Women's Rowing Loses In Northeastern Regatta

BOSTON, Mass.-The Boston College women's rowing team finished in second place in the Northeastern Regatta on Saturday morning on the Charles River. Northeastern took first place in the varsity event with Dartmouth and Buffalo finishing third and fourth, respectively.
The first varsity eight rowed a strong race, but could not quite catch the hosts, who finished with a time of 6:57.4. BC fell by less than four seconds with a time of 7:01.2. Dartmouth came in third with a time of 7:08.7 and Buffalo finished in fourth at 7:23.6.
In the second varsity race, the Huskies again took first place with a time of 7:03.7, well ahead of second place Darmouth (7:16.6). BC finished in third place with a time of 7:30.
In the novice race, the Eagles finished in fourth place with a time of 8:00. Dartmouth took first place, finishing in just 7:12.9. Northeastern finished in 7:14.2, taking second place and Buffalo took home third place with a final time of 7:51.7.
The Eagles will return to action on April 13 at the Knecht Cup in Camden, N.J.
