Rowing Turns In Strong Showing At The Princeton Chase

Princeton, N.J.- Boston College women's varsity eight captured 15th place out of 33 teams competing in the Eagles' second-to-last race of the fall season, the Princeton Chase at Lake Carnegie on Sunday. The women's varsity eight-A rowed the course in 16:11.15, and the varsity eight-B in 17:15.07, taking home 30th.
The Eagles rowed a total of four women's varsity boats in Sunday's competition.The varsity four-A placed 40th and the varsity four-B took 43rd out of the 46 competing.
Rowing in the men's heavyweight division, the Eagles four-A and B turned in a strong performance in good conditions taking home 18th and 21st place, respectively. Remaining in the heavyweight division, the eight boat captured 12th place out of 22 teams, rowing the course in 14:16.19 while Cornell won the race turning in a time of 13:15.65.
In the men's lightweight class, Boston College four boats A and B finished 26th and 33rd while the varsity eight took home 20th.
The Eagles take to the water for the final time this fall season back in Boston on November 16th at the Tail of Charles.
