Princeton, NJ - The Boston College women's tennis team debuted at #66 on the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Rankings as of January 8, 2002. In the preseason rankings, the Eagles received 136 votes.

Last season, BC finished the dual match season at 11-6. Throughout the season, the team maintained a national ranking, with its highest appearance at #59.
