Men's Swimming Downed By Marist College 193-44

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - The Boston College men's swimming and diving team dropped its third-consecutive meet on Sunday to Marist College 193-44 at the Flynn Recreation Complex. Freshman Justin Welch continued to be one of the Eagles' strongest swimmers this year, as he turned in two third-place performances.
Welch's first third-place finish came in the 200-yard freestyle, which he finished with a time of 1:53.14. His other third-place result came in the 100-yard freestyle, which he finished with a time of 50.29. Welch joined fellow freshman Michael Dellamano, sophomore Gordon Glover and junior Matthew Baker in the 200-yard freestyle relay, which they finished second with a time of 1:30.77.
Dellamano and freshman Brandon Twichell turned in the only two individual runner-up performances on the day. Dellamano placed second in the 200-yard butterfly, finishing with a time of 2:03.49, while Twichell turned in a second-place result 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:13.50.
The men's swimming and diving team is back in action at 6 p.m. Tuesday, November 6, against BIG EAST rival Providence College at the Flynn Recreation Complex.
