Women's swimming wins over archrival BU

CHESTNUT HILL, MA - The Boston College womens swimming team hosted Commonwealth Avenue rival Boston University on Tuesday, January 26 and came away with a 180-119 victory. The Eagles improved their record to 9-2 overall.
The Eagles were led freshman Lauren Schwartz (Mt. Laurel, NJ) and senior Rachel Enos (Ispwich, MA). Schwartz captured victories in the 200 yard butterfly (2:08.39) and captured the winning points for the Eagles with her first place finish in the 100 yard butterfly (59.46).
Enos also won two events, the 50 yard freestyle (25.10) and the 100 yard freestyle (54.32). Freshman Erin Lanzafame (Onieda, NY) was also a double winner, capturing first in the 1000 yard freestyle (10:35.28) and the 500 yard freestyle (5:12.45).
Boston College will now travel across the Charles River to face Harvard on Friday, January 29. The Eagles will then return home on Saturday, January 30 for a meet against Maine.
